Smart Controller Program – The Smart Controller Program enables homeowners to register their smart controllers with the city.  The registration program includes programming assistance, an irrigation check-up, and a smart controller home yard sign.  A smart irrigation controller is a sprinkler system clock that adjusts watering run times by using weather data.  Having a smart controller in place can reduce water usage by nearly 30 percent.  To understand more about how smart controllers work, visit Frisco Water Resources.

Once registered with the city of Frisco, your system can irrigate with some flexibility to the city’s watering restrictions.  You can set your controller to operate around the no watering times as set forth by the city.  In addition to working around the city’s watering restrictions, residents who retrofit with a smart controller can receive a one-time $100 rebate incentive on their water bill after registering the controller with the city’s Smart Controller Program.  Be sure to send in your proof of purchase and the proof of subscription to a weather-based signal with the Retro-Fit Home Application.  If you already have a smart controller, you can still register it with the city’s program and you must submit proof of subscription to a weather-based signal.  To register your smart controller or take advantage of the rebate, you can submit your information to the following:
