Residential Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) Rebate: A PRV is a device that is installed after the water meter to reduce the amount of pressure coming into your home. Pressure reducing valves prevents unnecessary home appliance repairs and extends the life of plumbing fixtures & supply lines—saving you money and water!

The City of Plano offers a rebate to its residents for 50% of the PRV, associated parts & installation costs up to $500. Single family detached homes, townhouses, duplexes and condos, built before January 1, 2013.

  • Water pressure must exceed 80 psi
  • Must be installed by a licensed plumber registered in the City of Plano.

Residential High Efficiency Toilet (HET) Application: Replacing old, inefficient toilets with WaterSense labeled High efficiency toilets helps reduce water used for toilets by 20 to 60 percent! They also save more than $110 per year in water costs, and $2, 200 over the lifetime of the toilets.

The City of Plano offers a rebate for the purchase and installation of a new high efficiency toilet, in the form of a credit to the customers’ utility account for the following amounts:

  • $100 credit for the 1st toilet
  • $75 credit for the 2nd toilet
  • $50 for the 3rd toilet
  • Applicable for homes built in 1994 or earlier
  • Toilets must be purchased from a retailer within the City of Plano with a WaterSense labeled, high efficiency toilet (1.28 gallons per flush or less)
